This 26 volume collection was published by the A.L. Burt Company in the 1930's. Authors contributing to this collection include Philip Hart, Gardner Hunting, DeWitt Hanes, Milton Richards, Capwell Wyckoff and L.P. Wyman. Many of the titles were later reprinted and marketed by Saalfield in the 1940's as the Mystery & Adventure Series and, later yet, as the Adventure & Mystery Series. Two titles from this collection (The Big Opportunity by DeWitt Hanes and Barry Dare and the Mysterious Box by Gardner Hunting) were reprinted by Saalfield as two of the three volumes in the Boys' Adventure Series. Two Capwell Wycoff titles (The Black Rider and The Mystery at Lake Retreat) and one Milton Richards' title (Tom Blake's Mysterious Adventure) were reprinted by Saalfield as the Black Rider Series. Three of the Philip Hart titles (The Black Skimmer, The Golden Lure and The Mysterious Trail) were reprinted by Saalfield as the Philip Hart Adventure Series Two L.P. Wyman titles (Blind Man's Inlet and The Mystery of Eagle Lake) and one Philip Hart title (The Strange Teepee) became Saalfield's Eagle Lake Series.
